Julie's observations are still here. The first audio made sounds like this: http://www.morisena.org/images/Transymusic.mp3
International and local musicians took part
in a collaborative process for the
creation of contemporary
music
inspired
by Transylvanian vibes. Whatever they came across and made sounds they
used
as instruments.
Ancient local songs (live and recorded) from local Romanian,
Hungarian
and Gipsy cultures were regularly presented as inspiration for the
abroad participants.
In what was an exploratory
and experimental
process, the artists were busy improvising, composing, recording and
experiencing the local culture, bringing diverse
elements together and creating dialogues culminating a body of work
with a number of outlets, including a concert and
a limited edition CD. As a way of
creating connections between our projects
and
participating artists, we may use the TransyMusic for our next
TransyNoMode project.
At morisena
we enjoyed palinca, home made wine and delicious zacusca, jams and more, all our own production with
fruits and veggies
coming mainly from our biologic garden and the local markets.
Participants brought delcious snacks and drinks from their own
country to be shared with the group. A
concert
was held in Targu Mures at Teatrul
Ariel on December
19th. and the evening ended with a live
performance at G Pont
in Targu Mures.
Partners: Teatrul
Ariel, Radio Targu Mures, Radio Alternativ. The project
was kindly supported
by:

Alexandrescu,

Foundation, (travel of abroad participants), Varodi
